Photo: Yuriko Kuronuma Synopsis: A leading Japanese violinist residing in Mexico. She did her professional studies in Japan and in Europe. She has been a soloist of world renowned orchestras and has performed in concert halls like the Musikvereinsaal in Vienna, Smetana Hall in Prague, Carnegie Hall in New York, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and in Mexico City she was invited to perform as a soloist with the National Symphony, the UNAM Philharmonic and the Mexico City Philharmonic at the Palace of Fine Arts and the Nezahualcoyotl Hall, among others. In 1986 she received the Aguila Azteca, the maximum decoration bestowed to foreigners by the Government of Mexico. She has recorded more than 20 LPs and CDs in Europe, Japan and in Mexico.
