Violinist

Born in Wroclaw, Poland, he started his musical studies under the guidance of Professor Lech Kwapisz. At age 11, he toured Japan within the group of outstanding Mexican students of the Academia Yuriko Kuronuma. Later he had as teachers the renowned violinists Pierre Amoyal and Mikhail Tolpygo.

Today, he is considered one of the most outstanding violinists of Mexico by his extensive activity as a soloist with most of the orchestras in the country; in addition to doing recitals, presentations with diverse groups of camera and tours in countries like France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Italy.  He was a member of the Mexico City String Quartet, with which he performed in Mexico and abroad.

He has appeared as a soloist of the Mexico City Philharmonic, Jalisco Philharmonic, Queretaro Philharmonic, UNAM Philharmonic, University of Guanajuato Symphony and Bellas Artes Chamber Orchestra, among others, under the baton of eminent conductors such as Gabriel Chmura, Jorge Mester, Zouhuang Chen, José Guadalupe Flores, Luis Herrera De la Fuente, Fernando Lozano, Eduardo Diazmuñoz, Enrique Barrios, David Briskin, and others.

In addition to his vast classical and contemporary repertoire of violin concerti, he gave the First performance of the Partita for Violin and Orchestra by W. Lutoslawski and the Concerto for Violin and Chamber Orchestra of A. Panufnik in Mexico.

He has been the concertmaster of the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra, the Queretaro State Philharmonic, the Camerata of Coahuila and currently of the OFUNAM (Philharmonic Orchestra of the NationalUniversity of Mexico).

In the year 2000, he was awarded one of Mexico’s most important recognition for artistic merit within music: The Mozart Medal.

He teaches violin at the Academia Yuriko Kuronuma since the fall of 2006.
